An exhibition of colour photographs capturing daily life, youth culture and fashion in postcolonial Burkina Faso.
Colour Years draws from the archive of Burkinabé photographer Sanlé Sory. Sory documented a distinct era of style in Burkina Faso, a country newly independent from France.
While best known for his earlier black-and-white images of local nightlife and studio portraits, this exhibition focuses on his later use of colour film, offering a window into the region's changing socio-political climate and modern identity.
