Known for his comedy, Joe Lycett takes a colourful new direction with his first major solo art exhibition, exploring nostalgia, grief and the things that have disappeared from everyday life. Inspired by objects from Birmingham’s collections, Lycett’s paintings celebrate subjects ranging from extinct animals and lost buildings to discontinued treats and familiar cultural figures.
