Bringing together intimate drawings with contemporary artworks, poetry and personal stories, Worlds Through Desire explores how LGBT+ people have sought connection across changing times and technologies.

Created when same-sex relationships were illegal in the UK, Grant’s work reveals private expressions of affection, friendship and desire through portraits and studies of men. The exhibition invites visitors to consider the many spaces where queer communities have formed, from social meeting places and cruising grounds to online platforms and dating apps, offering a thoughtful reflection on intimacy, identity and the evolving ways people find one another.
