A joint exhibition featuring father-and-son artists, Bo and Jack Hilton.
Bo Hilton is a painter based in Penzance, Cornwall. He studied for an MA in Fine Art at Brighton Polytechnic and has developed a practice that explores the conceptual and poetic possibilities of painting. Working through a process of layering, removing and reapplying paint, his works draw on memory, place and personal experience, often beginning with remembered images or moments before evolving into more abstract compositions. His paintings are characterised by subtle colour relationships, balanced forms and an interest in how colour, pattern and composition can create an emotional and contemplative space for the viewer.
Jack Hilton (b. 1996) is a London-based painter whose work draws on history, literature and mythology. After studying English Literature at the University of Sussex, he began painting professionally in 2020. His paintings often reimagine historical events, folklore and literary narratives, combining figurative imagery with bold colour, pattern and simplified forms. Hilton has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, and comes from a family of painters; his father is artist Bo Hilton and his grandparents were the artists Rose and Roger Hilton.
All works are for sale, with selected pieces available from our online shop.
