Genghis Khan: How the Mongols Changed the World

26 June - 1 November 2026
10am-5pm

A major new exhibition exploring the history and legacy of Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire through 250 rare objects.

This internationally renowned exhibition brings together the two sides to Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire to show us the full picture of the largest land empire the world has ever known.

The exhibition explores the story of Genghis Khan, his rise to power and his surprisingly modern approach to ruling his empire.

Highlights include over 250 objects on loan from Mongolian National Museums, including bows, weapons, armour, saddles, coins and jewellery, many coming to the UK for the first ever time.

Genghis Khan: How the Mongols Changed the World is on show at the Royal Armouries Museum until November 2026.
