The world-renowned Royal Armouries collection contains over 75,000 objects including arms and armour from the early medieval period to the present day, from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
At the Royal Armouries Museum Leeds there are over 8,500 objects exhibited in five exciting galleries - War, Tournament, Oriental, Self Defence and Hunting. Treasures include Henry VIII's armours, jewel-encrusted presentation swords, exquisite pieces from India such as the magnificent elephant armour, and ancient gift armours from the Japanese shoguns.
