Between Feeling and Unfeeling: Art and Anaesthesia
What happens when art and medicine unite?
Bringing together historical and contemporary works, the exhibition explores the relationship between anaesthesia, art and the experience of pain. Through paintings, prints, medical illustration and sound, it considers how we understand, communicate and manage pain, and how creative practice can offer new perspectives on the body, care and consciousness.
