Exhibition pairs two artists across generations to consider connections between form, material and the human body.
Encounters: Giacometti x Lynda Benglis brings together works of art by contemporary artist Lynda Benglis and 20th-century sculptor Alberto Giacometti for the first time, opening a dialogue across generations.
Since the 1960s, Benglis has been celebrated for her free, playful yet visceral forms, while Giacometti is renowned for his iconic elongated figures and experimental explorations of human presence. The exhibition is the third in the Encounters: Giacometti series, which pairs contemporary artists with the Swiss sculptor’s work to explore creativity, originality and the enduring impact of his practice.
