Firstsite presents Sue Webster’s first UK institutional solo exhibition, tracing her development from early collaborations to a deeply personal artistic practice. At its centre is The Crime Scene, a wall-based installation that weaves memorabilia, personal objects and neon orange string to map her life from adolescence to the present.

The exhibition brings together Webster’s major influences, from the music that shaped her youth to her reflections on motherhood. Highlights include 18 individually crafted leather jackets, a series of oil self-portraits and Birth of an Icon, a shrine dedicated to her son Spider Ray.
