Pride and Place: Voices from Harrow’s LGBTQIA+ Community

8 January - 26 April 2026

Free to all

A small exhibition celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community

Founded in 1971, the North West London Lesbian and Gay Group (NWLLGG) is one of London’s longest-running LGBTQ+ communities. Emerging from the Gay Liberation Front, the group has spent over 50 years creating connection, promoting acceptance, and combatting isolation through conversation and shared experience. This exhibition celebrates their rich history and ongoing work in Harrow and beyond, highlighting stories of resilience, friendship, and activism across five decades of social change. From early meetings in suburban pubs to vibrant pride parades today, NWLLGG’s journey reflects the power of community and the importance of visibility for LGBTQ+ people everywhere. Please note that this is a small corner display within the parlour of the manor.
