Celebrating the history and maritime crafts of Lowestoft, Ipswich, and Felixstowe.

This large-scale installation by Sophie Giller is produced by Art Station in partnership with First Light Festival and SPILL Festival. Sophie will work with the community to create an artwork made up of large patchwork sail shaped forms. The participants will use their own favourite objects and memories which will be printed onto the textiles that are patchworked together to create the sails.

This project celebrates the history and maritime crafts of Lowestoft, Ipswich, and Felixstowe. The installation will transform and grow as it travels and reflect different stories and communities as it moves from one port to the next over the next year. Accompanied by Monoprinting, Gelli, and Collagraph Printmaking workshops.
