Skate Suffolk presents Suffolk Skateboard History. An exhibition of historic Suffolk skateboarding photography.
"As long as you're moving and flowing, you decide where you're at. Freedom of choice. Who you're with, where you're going, what you're going to do. The ultimate freedom, that's the best part of skateboarding. The trick is the pinnacle, but the joy is the fluidity, that movement." - Paul Schmitt, The Nine Club, 2019.
This captures the essence of why skateboarding photography is so vital to our culture. It allows us to freeze those moments of “ultimate freedom” and “fluidity,” turning ephemeral movements and triumphant tricks into a permanent visual history, ensuring our unique narrative is preserved for generations to come.
An exhibition of historic Suffolk skateboarding photography with contributions by Leo Sharp, Rob Salmon, Wig Worland, Channon King, Tim Brown, Andrew Stark, Adam Gould and Sam Barker.
