Celebrating four decades of Joy Gregory’s visually rich and innovative photography
Spanning over 40 years, Joy Gregory’s work encompasses photography, film, textiles and installation, combining technical experimentation with cultural reflection. Her practice examines identity, race, gender, history and beauty ideals, while pushing the boundaries of photographic materials and methods, from Victorian cyanotypes to digital media. Conceptually rigorous yet visually captivating, her work invites reflection on power, representation and memory.
The exhibition brings together more than 250 works, revealing how Gregory transforms intimate, poetic imagery into a quietly political practice, encouraging nuanced engagement with society, culture and personal experience across time and place.
