Exploring mortality, transformation and identity through immersive sculptural installations.
Claye Bowler invites visitors to consider graves and burial chambers as spaces for reflection. Drawing on trans, queer and disabled experiences, the works explore waiting, transformation, mortality and the ways we live with loss.
Sculptures in plaster, stone, latex and metal range from contemplative objects to immersive forms that visitors can sit or lie within. Accompanied by a soundscape inspired by folk songs about love and loss, the installation blends material, space and sound to create a quiet, immersive environment that encourages personal reflection and new ways of thinking about life, death and presence.
