Celebrating 40 years of Ditchling’s craft legacy through new discoveries and community stories
It Takes a Village marks four decades of Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft with over 20,000 objects, inviting visitors to rediscover familiar works and hidden gems. Featuring pieces by Eric Gill, Ethel Mairet and others, the exhibition includes sensitive new perspectives co-curated by Gill’s daughters, Petra and Elizabeth, alongside interactive displays celebrating craft workshops.
Local residents contribute to a growing, community-sourced collection mapped across the village, while contemporary makers work alongside historic equipment, blending past and present in this unique exploration of craft and creativity.
