This two-person retrospective celebrates the groundbreaking 20th-century ceramic artist Betty Woodman and her husband, painter and photographer George Woodman.
Exhibiting both artists together for the first time in the UK, this exhibition explores the couple's work from the perspective of their shared life, experiences and influences.
Focussing in part on the works of art produced during their yearly extended visits to Antella, Italy, archival photography brings to life the untold story of the ancient stone farmhouse that was their home and studio. The exhibition considers how Antella became a location that inspired creative expressionism and had a lasting impact on both the Woodman’s work.
Your ticket to the Betty Woodman and George Woodman will also include admission to the exhibition Hylton Nel: This plate is what I have to say.
The more you see, the more we do.
