This November we will be hosting a new and innovative festival celebrating the life, work and influence of William Morris - MorrisFest – which will be held at the Birmingham & Midland Institute.
The festival will consist of lectures, panels, performances and craft demonstrations as well as our annual Kelmscott Lecture, our Christmas Artisan Market and the Useful & Beautiful Art Prize finalists which will be exhibited and winner announced.
MorrisFest aims to promote Morris, his work and ideas as well as related topics and discuss how they are still relevant today and inspiring contemporary artists, designers and thinkers. We hope that each programme activity will create a lively and welcoming atmosphere in the spirit of fellowship, attracting people of all ages, backgrounds, interests and nationalities.
The festival is ticketed but the Christmas Artisan Market will be free to enter! We expect it to be a very busy and exciting weekend.
