Kate Witney and Jonty Nowell return with a concert devoted to two influential women.
Following their highly enjoyable performances of the songs of Carolina Oliphant, Lady Nairne in 2024, Kate Witney and Jonty Nowell return with a concert devoted to two more influential women. Marjory Kennedy-Fraser and Lucy Broadwood were born just 80 miles and less than a year apart and their lives followed similar trajectories in many ways, as they championed the folk songs of Scotland and England. Kate and Jonty will explore their differing approaches to folk songs as they sought to bring the songs they loved to a wider public.
