An intimate, autobiographical journey across two antique keyboards.
Kenneth Yeung navigates early repertoire and personal memory, weaving Cabezon, Frescobaldi, Froberger, Pasquini’s partimentno sonata, a compiled 17th-century French suite, and Bach’s magnificent toccata. Interspersed is a new tombeau – an elegy for the Tai Po fire in Hong Kong – linking past practice with contemporary resonance. Playful, scholarly, creative, the programme surveys a wide range of national styles and improvisatory traditions, inviting listeners into anecdotes and the harpsichordist’s inner world as music becomes story and memory.
