A creative illustration workshop exploring how new designs can be created from what we discard.
Guided by an artist-educator, you’ll experiment with collage techniques, layering scraps of recycled fabric, paper, and texture-rich offcuts to build expressive compositions.
You’ll learn how to draw from tactile surfaces, translate the feel of worn cloth into line and mark, and use mixed media.
This hands-on session invites you to reimagine fashion’s remnants through drawing, collage, and play with unexpected materials. Using materials that might otherwise be thrown away, you’ll discover how illustration can give them new life turning frayed edges, old fibres, and everyday textures into bold, imaginative artworks.
We will slow down, look closely, and let your creativity consider design possibilities inspired by the 'ashes' of fashion.
