Workshop

The Fabric of Home

20 August 2026
10.30am to 2.30pm
Free to all

A free community textile workshop with Quirk Theatre.

Join us for The Fabric of Home, a free textile workshop inviting you to create your own banner exploring what home means to you.

This workshop offers a gentle, creative space to design your own flag, responding to the question “what is your safe space?”. Led by artist Aga Eden, no experience is necessary – just bring your ideas and imagination.

Participants will also have the chance to contribute strips of material to the costume of the Yeti, the central character in Quirk Theatre’s new Christmas show YETI, premiering at Exeter Phoenix this December. There is also the option for your banner to be featured in the show too, but you are also welcome to take yours home with you. The choice is yours!

Fabric of Home is part of Quirk Theatre’s wider community engagement around YETI; a story about friendship, courage and what it means to truly belong.

All welcome.
