Workshop

An Introduction to Willow Sculpture for Young Artists

17 - 20 August 2026
Monday & Thursday, 11am–4pm
£120

In this two-day practical workshop, you will learn the basics of creating three-dimensional shapes in willow.

Create a willow structure, cover it with lantern paper, and decorate it, creating your own animal sculpture to take away.

Willow is a versatile, lightweight medium, ideal for sculpture, modelmaking, prop making, theatre sets, festivals, parades, lanterns, puppets and community arts and much more.

This workshop is aimed at creative young people, interested in getting hands on experience in a different medium and expanding their portfolios. No experience necessary. All tools and materials provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
