We’re delighted to welcome Laurentum to Perth Museum for an evening concert filled with songs.
We’re delighted to welcome Laurentum to Perth Museum for an evening concert filled with songs that explore heartfelt longing, lost and love, contrasted with playfulness and mischievous teasing. Featuring music from France, Scotland, Hungary, and Ireland, this programme spans several centuries—from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance to the 20th and 21st centuries offering a distinctive insight into the connection between folk and classical traditions.
Laurentum is a quartet of female voices and string instruments that specialises in early Medieval, Renaissance, 20th-century and Contemporary Music. First formed in 2025 from Robin Chapel Choir in Edinburgh, Laurentum seeks to bring to life new and old repertoire of interesting vocal and instrumental combinations while giving voice to music by female composers.
