Join us for a twilight guided walk at the Ulster Folk Museum and discover the secret world of bats!
Discover the secret world of bats on this guided twilight tour at the Ulster Folk Museum.
Guided by experts at CEDaR, you’ll get hands‑on experience with the same bat detectors used by experts, letting you listen in to the ultrasonic calls of these incredible night-time hunters. Along the way, you’ll learn how different species communicate, navigate, and feed in the dark.
CEDaR (Centre for Environmental Data and Recording) staff will help you identify the bats you hear and share plenty of interesting insights into their behaviour and the important role they play in our local environment.
Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply curious to try something a little different, this is a great opportunity to experience wildlife up close in a completely new way.
