Music on the Mintons: Organ by Candlelight

31 July 2026
7:00pm
£20

Professor Ian Tracey is one of the UK’s most celebrated organists.

A musical performance will take place within the Great Hall every Friday throughout the Minton Tile Reveal, featuring a blend of traditional and contemporary artists. A special organ recital by candlelight will illuminate the Minton Tiles, creating a striking setting for this unique performance.

Appointed Organist of Liverpool Cathedral at just 24, the youngest cathedral organist in the country at the time, he has since enjoyed an international career spanning major venues across Europe, the USA, and Australia. He has served as the City Organist for Liverpool for over four decades, and is also curator of St George’s Hall’s historic Willis Organ.

All ticket sales directly support the upkeep of St George’s Hall, with donations also going directly to the St George’s Hall Charitable Trust, which works to preserve the Hall for future generations, as well as the restoration of the Willis Organ.

Please enter via the North Hall Entrance (opposite the Walker Art Gallery).
