Join in with BSL signed storytelling from George's Marvellous Medicine and guided Village Walks
Head to our Wondrous Woods room to hear our expert storytellers read from George’s Marvellous Medicine. Their energetic rendition will cause a stir as you discover the secret medicine George is making for his Grandma. There’ll be actions, props and sounds thrown into the mix as well as some very special illustrations used in the 1985 Jackanory episode of the book.
Free with Museum entry
You can also head out on a guided walk around the very village that inspired so many of Roald Dahl’s stories. Inspired by the magical mixture and all the animals in George’s Marvellous Medicine you’ll discover some of the secrets behind the stories. Enjoy energetic readings from the George’s Marvellous Medicine and other Roald Dahl books as you go, delivered by trained actor, Michael.
£5 per person at 11.45am and 2.15pm
Both activities will be signed by Helen, who is BSL Level 6 qualified.
