Presenting a diverse range of material from the Collier Campbell Archive, Paint! Pattern! Print! invites us into the exuberant world of pioneering designers Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell from their beginnings working as a duo right up to Sarah’s current work today. Discover the creative journey from the first strokes of the paintbrush to the finished artworks and translation from design to textiles, fashion and homeware.

Sisters Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell worked alongside each other for over 50 years, creating original, vibrant, painterly patterns that transformed printed fabric and the world of interiors. Their highly successful and prolific partnership as Collier Campbell brought British design to global audiences collaborating with brands such as Liberty, Heals, M&S, Pkaufman and Martex.

Hear how Sarah Campbell has continued her creative journey in her independent design work for companies such as Anthropologie, LF Markey, West Elm and Free Spirit Fabrics as well as the process of producing her own range of products and prints. Inspired as always by Sarahs passion for painting, pattern and print, this tour will give you the perfect insight into her painted world.

Tours are limited to 20 people and will last 45 minutes, followed by an informal 30-minute Q&A with Sarah Campbell. After the event, explore the exhibition at your own pace and visit the Museum shop.
