Step into the world of Scotland’s most famous queen in this lively and interactive event with Gill Arbuthnott, celebrated author of children’s non-fiction exploring Scottish history.

Gill will read from her brilliant book The Amazing Life of Mary, Queen of Scots, bringing to life Mary’s adventures, dramatic escapes and royal secrets. You’ll also get to take part in a fun code-making activity, inspired by the secret messages Mary sent while imprisoned, perfect for budding history detectives! After the session, there’ll be time to ask questions, buy a signed copy of the book and explore the incredible story behind one of Scotland’s most iconic historical figures.

Whether you’re a young reader with a love of history or just discovering Mary for the first time, this event is a fun, family-friendly way to connect with the past.
