29 January 2026
10:00am - 8:00pm (late) 6:00pm (talk)
Included in general admission

These special after hours themed events will allow a unique and fun way to explore the Florence Nightingale Museum.

Can’t make it to the museum during our normal weekday hours?

Join us at one of our monthly museum lates for an opportunity to explore our exhibitions after hours! These extended openings allow visitors to see the space in a unique and hands-on way!

This months late will also include a special screening of the live talk God’s Revenge Upon Murder: Florence Nightingale’s Mortality and Health Diagrams led by data storyteller RJ Andrews! The talk will start at 6:00pm GMT and will last around 30 minutes with time for questions at the end.

Florence Nightingale used colourful diagrams to persuade royals and generals to adopt reforms that prevented countless deaths. RJ Andrews will explore exactly how she did it. He is the chronicler of the motivation and craft behind Nightingale and her team. We will meet many colourful characters, see sample diagrams from both of her coxcomb folios, investigate hand-drawn drafts of her diagrams, and compare Nightingale’s campaign against competing efforts. By the end, we will better appreciate what it takes to bring positive change to the world.

When you come to this special screening you will be able to learn more about Nightingale’s statistical works and ask your questions to an expert within the Data Visualizations Field. Additionally, the curator of the Florence Nightingale Museum will be on site during the late to showcase an original 1st edition copy of Nightingale’s Morality and Health from our collection.

A bar will be open starting at 5:00pm serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks offering the perfect accompaniment to your visit.

All tickets purchased for the monthly museum lates are general admission tickets and will be valid for a full year. All general admission tickets (including those of repeat visitors) will be accepted for these monthly Thursday evening lates.
