Celebrate Halloween by the lake with spooky stories, monster-making and our refreshed wildlife trail.

Autumn & Winter Wildlife Trail Explore the museum and grounds with our refreshed wildlife trail. Spot seasonal changes and discover local creatures in their natural habitats.

Monster Making Get in the Halloween spirit with our drop-in hands-on plasticine monster making sessions between 28-1 November, 11am–3:45pm.

Spooky Storytelling in the Boathouse Head to the Boathouse on Wednesday 29 October at 2pm for spine-tingling tales.

All activities are included with museum admission — no need to book in advance, just drop in and enjoy. Lakeland Arts members and Annual pass holders go free.

November - March

10am - 4pm

We will be closed on 25–26 December 2024. The Museum will also be closed from 20–31 January 2025, but the café and shop will reopen on 22 January.
