Doddington’s much-loved annual Scarecrow Competition is back — and this year’s theme is Fairytales!
Doddington is inviting local schools and community groups to let their imaginations run wild and bring classic tales to life in scarecrow form. From magical characters to mythical creatures, Doddington can’t wait to see this year’s creations.

Prize
The winning school or group will receive a homegrown Doddington Christmas Tree (up to 8ft).
See the Scarecrows
Visit the Gatehouse lawn from Saturday 25 October – Sunday 2 November to enjoy the full fairytale-inspired scarecrow display — free of charge for all visitors.
Judging & Winner Announcement
Our Head Gardener, Jordan, will judge the entries and select one overall winner. The winning scarecrow will be announced on Doddington’s social media channels on Friday 31 October — make sure you’re following to find out who wins!
Make a day of it and visit the Doddington PYO Pumpkin Patch and enjoy seasonal treats in the Farm Shop Café or Grain Store Café.
