Join us this summer for an exciting Art Masterclass designed for 8-14-year-olds! This hands-on workshop will teach children how to use Modroc, a versatile plaster-based material, to create sculptures inspired by our current summer exhibitions.
The session begins with a short, guided tour led by our learning team to spark inspiration from the vibrant artwork on display. Budding artists will then head to our art classroom to develop their ideas, crafting a base structure using newspaper, tape, wire, foil and other materials. Once their structure is complete, they will apply layers of Modroc to bring their sculptures to life. Although the sculptures will require 24 hours to dry fully, you can take them home on the same day. Once dry, they can be painted and decorated at home, allowing children to extend their creativity beyond the classroom.
Our Art Masterclasses are a fantastic opportunity for young artists to develop their skills, gain confidence, and explore new materials. Don’t miss out on this creative and fun-filled session!
