Join us for this summer Museum Late and explore our new exhibition.
Spend a magical summer evening at Wordsworth Grasmere. Explore our new exhibition The Time Lab: A Living Prelude, meet our resident artist, and enjoy a drink in the Garden-Orchard – ‘the loveliest spot that man hath ever found’.
The Time Lab brings together your stories and Wordsworth’s verses and transforms them into a continually changing, interactive artwork. Artist and Guest Curator Stacey Joy Rossouw is inviting you to share your memories – ‘spots of time’ – with her. Over the next few months Stacey will take these memories and translate them into mediums such as charcoal drawings, sound, music, animations and moving images – all forming part of the growing, evolving exhibition.
Stacey will talk about her work on The Time Lab and show some of the translated pieces that she has created so far. Contribute your own ‘spot of time’, have a go at some of the hands-on creative activities, and explore the Museum and Garden-Orchard after hours.
The Time Lab will continue to change and evolve throughout the summer. Don’t forget to come back for a visit and look out for tie-in workshops and events.
