FAQs

Do I have to share what I write?

Not at all, there are opportunities in the workshop where you can share as much or as little as you'd like, however the priority is that everyone is able to express themselves for themselves first. The workshop is set up in a way that caters to different comfortability levels, so hopefully you're able to find a gentle space for you to creatively explore.

How do you cater a gentle space to explore?

The intention is for everyone to come as they are and there’s three stages to the workshop that are mindfully structured to cater to everyone’s capacity. 1) filling the well 2) filling your cup 3) express yourself

Do I have to be a writer to come?

Nope. If you’re trying out writing for the first time or a writing veteran that needs some inspiration to overcome some writer’s block, all abilities welcome.

This is an interactive and reflective workshop with plenty of opportunities for you to take a moment to yourself if needed. Through this class you will:

  • create your own poems or any form of writing that touches on memory and emotions.

  • gain inspiration and techniques that can be applied into your artistic practice.

  • have the chance to connect with other artists and practitioners with similar interests.

This event will be held in our courtyard room at Bow Arts Trust, 183 Bow Road, London E3 2SJ.
