Join the RCP Garden team for a delightful summer evening of tea tasting and blending.
Join the RCP Garden team for a delightful summer evening of tea tasting and blending featuring ingredients grown in the Medicinal Garden. Led by our expert gardeners create a blend to take home or give as a gift!
The evening will include an introduction to exhibition Healing words that features beautifully handwritten family recipe books used to share knowledge about treatments and cures within communities in England, 1500-1800.
Discover the properties of herbs featured in the recipe books many of which are grown in the RCP’s own Medicinal Garden. Taste a sample of seasonal teas created from these ingredients perfect for different times of the day – from perking you up in the morning to a soothing blend to enjoy on a summer evening. Finally guided by our expert gardeners create your very own summer tea blend to take home with you – or deliver as a unique gift.
The RCP medicinal garden contains over 1,100 plants with links to medicine. The myriad stories they tell come from diverse cultures, different countries and from every age in recorded history.
