Experience a unique blend of relaxation and creativity with Bumps and Brushes, our art workshops are designed especially for expectant parents in Kendal. These sessions offer a chance to explore art, connect with your baby, and meet other expecting parents in a welcoming environment.

The session will begin with a calming guided tour of Abbot Hall, with a guide on hand to offer observational drawing techniques. You’ll then be invited to our Creative Space to add splashes of colour and finishing touches to your sketches using the art materials provided.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, these sessions are tailored for all skill levels.

Pregnant people attending this free session can enjoy access to Abbot Hall’s galleries at no additional charge. While this is a session aimed at pregnant people, older siblings may be accommodated upon request, subject to capacity. Partners can book a place and come along but will be required to present or purchase an admission ticket upon arrival. These can be purchased in advance from our website or at the front desk on the day.

• Session runs the second Friday of the month between 10:30am – 12pm.

• Meet at Abbot Hall reception (lift access is available via the café).

• Materials will be provided on the day, but feel free to bring along your own materials too!
