Archie Brennan Rewards Update

As we approach the end of 2020 (which has maybe felt like 20 years), we are excited to be sending out some of the fantastic rewards to donors to Dovecot’s Art Happens campaign. We have been working hard behind the scenes with suppliers and artists to get your unique rewards created, produced and delivered to you. The pandemic has caused a massive backlog with ours and Art Fund’s suppliers meaning lead times have been longer than usual, and of course everything is harder when working remotely. Thank you for your patience while we have been working on this.

Postcards, tote bags, and weaving kits are being dispatched and should be received soon by donors. For those who opted for other rewards, we will be sending these in the New Year – definitely something to look forward to!

Alongside preparing rewards, work is well underway for the first major exhibition of Archie Brennan’s work, which is possible thanks to the generous support of the Art Fund and our amazing donors. The money we raised has gone towards shipping Archie’s masterpieces from the US to Edinburgh. With condition checking under way, the exhibition curators are busy exploring the many tapestries and archive material, which will feature in the show.
