The museum’s artist in residence Helen Snell has created a series of three-dimensional works inspired by the contradictions of the call of duty.

The culmination of Snell's three-year tenure at the museum, the exhibition showcases her work in laser cutting and digital media, including wall reliefs, steel sculptures, fabric designs, 3D printed costume and body sculpture.

Inspired by artefacts and images from the collection, Snell explores the experiences of going to war; from survival and courage in hostile environments to the troubles of exploitation and the burden of guilt.
