To celebrate England's most famous landscape designer, on the tercentenary of his birth, a special lecture emphasises the huge artistry of Capability's settings for English country houses, as well as his remarkable influence in Europe. Garden writer Bettina Harden, former Chairman of the Welsh Historic Gardens Trust and Member of the Georgian Group Executive, is an adviser to the Capability 300 Festival.

This event has been organised by the Hampshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
