Three Choirs Vineyard
Guided Tour | Three Choirs Vineyard
Friday 20 June 2014 - 11:00 until 10:00
Three Choirs Vineyard is one of England's leading and longest-established single estate vineyards, being first planted in 1973 (first vintage 1976). It is now one of Gloucestershire's main attractions, of interest to both wine enthusiasts, and those just looking for a relaxing and beautiful environment in which to enjoy a day out.
The 75 acre vineyard is one of the largest in England, with a number of acres set aside as an experimental vineyard, planting new varieties and monitoring their success. There is also a Nature Trail and a modern temperature controlled winery. Our visit includes a guided tour to explain the wine making process and tasting of the finished product, highlighting how “cool climate” viticulture produces the delicate, fine, clean fruit flavours characteristic of English wine. The visit ends with a buffet lunch in a private dining room at the vineyard.
