Nicholas Bagshawe will give a lecture on the British Impressionists, looking closely at the work of artists such as Sir George Clausen, H.H. Le Thangue, and paintings by the Glasgow Boys, and the Newlin School. Comparisons will be drawn with their French counterparts and also with the work of artists such as Whistler, Sickert and Wilson Steer.
