Visit: Doncaster: Minster and Mansion House
Meet at the Minster Church of St George for a guided tour of the exterior and interior of the church. This George Gilbert Scott design was built 1854-58, after the medieval church was destroyed by fire in 1853.
After this there is some free time which may be used to visit the museum with its fine collection of Rockingham Pottery, many pieces bought with the assistance of the Art Fund.
Re-convene at the Mansion House for a guided tour of this 18th century building designed by James Paine with alterations by the three Williams: Lindley, Hurst and Butterfield.
