Private Tour: Ancient Egypt comes to Liverpool!

The newly opened Egyptian Gallery at the World Museum Liverpool is an opportunity to save on our carbon footprints and yet see the amazing world of Ancient Egypt. Here it is possible to journey back to the age of the Pharoahs, to find out about the building of the pyramids and the meaning of hieroglyphics. See the girdle worn by Rameses the Third, learn the intricacies of creating a mummy and see the many artefacts recovered by archaeologists over the years.

Meet at 2pm in the Community Base on the 4th floor of the museum where Ashley Cooke, who is the curator of the exhibition, will give a short talk on its origins and history, and this will be followed by a private conducted tour of the gallery. Tea will be served after the tour at about 3.30pm.
