A message to museum professionals
Art Fund's director of programmes and policy Sarah Philp reaffirms our commitment to supporting museums and galleries through the continuing challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
From today, museums and galleries in England will once again be temporarily closing their doors as part of government measures to control Covid-19. It’s heart-breaking for all those who’ve worked so hard to safely re-open their organisations and welcome back the communities they serve.
Art Fund will continue to support museums and museum goers during lockdown and beyond. We are here for all our museum partners across the UK, as ever, and welcome conversations on how we can help. We understand the challenges everyone is facing, so we’ll also be flexible about when projects we’ve funded can be delivered, or if plans need to change.
And our #TogetherforMuseums campaign is actively fundraising to replenish our Respond and reimagine grants which are helping museums rapidly and innovatively adapt to the challenges of the pandemic. Art Fund’s free services for museums – our crowdfunding platform Art Happens and ticketing system Art Tickets – are also ready to help you in your plans to raise and earn much-needed income for your organisations.
