Two Shelves and a Drawer

, 2004

© designed by Wales & Wales

The sycamore shelves are linked and secured by a dark, bog oak box where the alternating end-grain direction produces a chequerboard effect. The shallow back panel is covered in burnished squares of white gold leaf. The Waleses are known for the strong graphic images they create with different wood constructions.
