Two mounted German stoneware jugs

Various

The museum holds an important regional silver collection of more than six hundred objects. These two jugs are rare survivals and high quality examples of their type. They have been on display in the museum since 1939. Now displayed in the new Making History galleries, the jugs provide rare material evidence for the story of mercantile wealth, patronage and taste in Elizabethan Exeter.
