Spondylitis Necklace

Adam Paxon, 2003

Paxon has focused on the use of internal mirrored surfaces to draw the viewer, and the wearer, in to the piece. Spondylitis is a form of arthritis that can cause the vertebrae to fuse together. In reference to this the 'intervertebral' linking joints of the necklace are much more heavily worked and coloured than the orbs themselves.
