Portrait of a lady in the artist's studio (Mrs Hayman?)

Francis Hayman, c. 1735

This portrait fragment was once part of an early double portrait of the artist, and most probably shows his first wife. It is a remarkable discovery and joins the other section of the composition, the 'Self-portrait' already in the collection of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, which is the earliest identified work by Hayman.
