© The artist
The vessel has a strong sculptural presence, taking on an almost human form with its suggested neck, body and twisted shoulders. It has been constructed from pleated fabric over a resin form. The iridescent surface qualities and the uneven metallic rim are indicative of mineral deposits, lava flow or bubbling seafoam.
