Elizabethan panelled room from Exeter

Unknown artist, c. 1584–1586

A four-walled room with moulded paneling. The mantel and over mantel have fret-carved foliate strapwork, roundels and spindles, with renaissance style animal masks and four caryatids. Three of the panels are of lighter oak with fruitwood marquetry inlaid in the arches.
